FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I try Loci before it's on Google Play?
Ask to join the early test and we'll add you to internal testing on Google Play. Loci is being submitted to Google Play now, starting with internal testing.
I forgot the PIN for the grown-ups area. What do I do?
Email us at locieducation@gmail.com and we'll help you sort it out.
Does Loci need an internet connection?
No. Loci has no internet permission at all. Every lesson, voice prompt and setting works completely offline.
Is my child's microphone ever recording?
The microphone is off unless a grown-up turns it on in the grown-ups area for the listening games. Even then, speech is recognised on the device only — nothing is ever recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Does Loci show ads or ask my child to buy anything?
No. Loci has no ads and no in-app purchases, and never will in this version. It's simply free.
Is there a version for iPhone or iPad?
Not yet. Loci is Android-only for now. We'd like to bring it to iOS later, but we don't have a date to share.
Something isn't working — how do I report it?
Email locieducation@gmail.com with your device model and a quick description of what happened. Screenshots help a lot.
Your data
How to delete your data
Loci never sends anything to a server, because it doesn't have one. Everything lives only on this device, so removing it is entirely in your hands.
To remove one child's profile
Open Loci, tap Grown-ups and enter your PIN, then open that child's profile from the Children list and choose to remove it. This permanently erases that child's progress, stars and settings from the device.
To remove everything
Uninstall Loci the way you would any Android app (long-press the icon and remove it, or use Settings → Apps). Because Loci has no account and Android backup is disabled for the app, uninstalling deletes every record immediately and completely.
There is nothing left on any server to delete, because nothing ever left the device in the first place — see the full privacy policy for details.
